Russia, the first country of the adventure, grants special privileges to Thai citizens to enter the country visa-free. Therefore, I chose the Russian capital city of Moscow as the starting point of my trip. I then took a sleeper train to Saint Petersburg.

“Moscow” is a large city, but travel is convenient because of its rapid transit system – the Moscow Metro, which is famous for having the most beautiful train stations in the world. In Moscow, there are lots of impressive tourist attractions such as the Grand Kremlin Palace, an enormous palace in the center of Moscow City; St. Basil’s Cathedral, an elegant Orthodox church that is the symbolic landmark of the country; Lenin Mausoleum; the Red Square; and GUM Department Store. As all these attractions are located in the same area, I managed to visit them all in one day.
