• Public Relations ACT maintains public relations by utilizing external partners like MOT ( Charlene Williams ) and tools such Robly for email marketing , JooMag to digitally display ACT printed guides and maps , Ride with GPS and the Maine Trail Finder .
True public relations is administered quarterly to statewide organizations , writers and influencers by feeding them press releases from local stakeholders , our best signature event dates , new photography or recently published article content . This is a growing segment of ACT and the industry is hungry for news from this part of the state .
“ Ask Judy what to see and do ” this initiative is the customer-facing touch point for all email , phone , and fulfillment service inquiries from potential visitors to the region . The 1 ( 888 ) 216- 2463 phone number is utilized by a variety of organizations to point phone inquiries to the friendly staff at ACT for localized travel information . This staff also packs and ships all guidebook requests while adding a personal touch of a hand-signed letter .
Fulfillment services will require the printing of 14,000 regional guidebook magazines for distribution . ACT is a member of MTA and is proud to display 11 ACT publication designs in their seven visitor information centers throughout Maine and in 2024 / 25 will display three backlit exhibits and three pull-up seasonal snowmobile / ATV maps .

ACT will engage prospective visitors through email to our highly engaged subscribers who elect to receive communication from ACT . ACT is seeking local businesses to buy ad placement within the visitor email marketing as a source of cash match . ACT grows the Visitors Monthly Email through MPX subscribers and the Weekend Getaway Giveaway entries .
Local businesses receive communication from ACT about ways to participate in tourism , MOT information , training , and reminders to utilize the Stakeholder hub on the new website .
