: The regional guidebook project is completed and 23,100 guides were printed. The publication is the second iteration of its design, featuring the updated branding and style of ACT. The heavy paper weight is an intentional choice by the Aroostook County Tourism Board to ensure the magazine is a statement piece on coffee tables and rugged enough to last the trip. The publication was praised by MTA staff as“ The most beautiful and clearest travel guide in our center”.
Printed on Maine paper from a Maine printing company, this publication is a statement of pure Maine quality.
The increase in the number of guides ordered is required to meet the increase in demand from online fulfillment requests and utilizing Getaways on Display to distribute the guidebook at visitor centers, travel areas, and AAA in eastern Pennsylvania. 21 Advertisements from private organizations and businesses were placed in this publication, generating $ 5,300 in revenue used toward printing costs. The guide publication is distributed through all fulfillment partners and expanded to all traditional hotel / motel properties in Aroostook.
The regional mapping project is completed and 20,000 maps were printed. The map features a new design focused on highlighting the byways and top natural areas in the region. The new design incorporates the updated branding and style of ACT with QR codes linking to organized information on visitaroostook. com for a seamless approach to marry print and digital information. The map publication is distributed through all fulfillment partners except Getaways on Display.
