where " ... we can ask for help, and say
things are hard when they're hard, and
say that we miss someone when we
miss them." By talking and by writing
about his sentiments in his music, he
was able to give comfort to those people
who needed it as much as he did.
The way SUGA writes and speaks
openly about prominent issues such as
mental health is something that is to be
admired. He is not in an easy position
to say exactly what is on his mind,
especially when it comes to a considered
taboo topic such as mental health.
Regardless of this situation, he presses
on because he believes in its importance.

In the previously mentioned 2018
Billboard interview, he said "If we don't
talk about these issues, who will?" SUGA
mentions that the people who know best
and can talk about the difficulties our
generation faces is no one else but us,
the people who are living and dealing
through it. He wants, and encourages,

message and positive energy,
I think it would be better for
the world. It would make
the world more positive and
better for everybody."
SUGA does not shy away from using his
voice; his voice has been able to move
and influence ARMY to do the same thing.
We ARMYs regard SUGA as our relief
and reality. Our relief who encourages
us with comforting words such as "It's
alright even if you don't have a dream ... "
(BANGTANTV, 2017), and our reality who
gifted us are drenched in his emotions.
He has shared some of his deepest
experiences with us - experiences that
a lot of us try to hide and deny even
from ourselves. His acts of bravery has
motivated a lot of ARMYs to overcome
our own demons. Through his voice, he
has taught us that experiences are a part
of ourselves but they don't have to define

like to become one of the most influential

artists in the world, and by sharing his
