GENERAL MANAGER JUSTIN’SJJ o urnal Greetings Residents! On behalf of Arlington Ridge Golf Club, I would like to welcome you to summer and wish all of you a Happy 4th of July! With Governor DeSantis initiating Phase 2 of reopening for Florida in June, we have been very busy planning how and when to open back up. The safety and health of our residents, guests and staff is still our priority as we slowly start our new normal. We are still closely monitoring the CDC and Local Government guidelines and implementing policies in accordance with their leadership. As we have begun to reschedule hours of operation and events, we have received a lot of feedback, which is great! We appreciate the positive, respectful and constructive conversations with all our residents, members, guests and staff and we will continue to work together to build Arlington Ridge Golf Club up to reach its potential. Things to look for: Since we are now able to gather in groups of 50 or less we are excited to announce that we are welcoming the Men’s and Ladies Leagues back on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – if you are interested please contact the golf shop as we do have a new registration procedure. We are also looking forward to bringing Karaoke and Trivia back into the restaurant but with different days and times on a trial basis. We’re looking to fill some slower times in the restaurant and asking for reservations so we can prepare and sanitize appropriately. For new, beginner, intermediate golfers or the range player we are excited to introduce a Player Development Program. The program will include 4 lessons per month with a cocktail (which might be the most important ingredient), unlimited practice balls and discounted green fees after a certain time. Memberships will be another thing to keep your eye on as next year we will have new golfing member pricing – pricing will be more affordable than last year, so we hope to attract a few more of you at least! We also hope to offer a social membership that will add value to those who enjoy the restaurant with enhanced loyalty points, charging privileges, discounts on food, discounts on events, discounts in the Golf Shop and limited discounted rounds of golf per month. We are still ironing out some of the details but hope to have that launched with our Membership pricing. Lastly, our new Point of Sale was approved at the June Board Meeting and we hope to install this toward the end of July or early August. This will be a positive addition because we will then have one computer system in all locations – Golf Shop, Restaurant, Fairfax, Chatham’s, Admin and on the beverage cart. This will help us tremendously with admin efficiency in reporting and financials as well as great features to add value like loyalty programs and member charging for Golfing and Social Members. | 4 JULY
