Arlington Ridge Newsletter July 20 | Page 5

We are now hitting peak growing season and the Agronomy Crew has been very busy. In addition to our current efforts to minimize weeds we have ordered some additional herbicide to be applied through July. We are also getting ready for our large summer fertilization to help bring all the Bermuda back to life and flourishing through. Our last aerification will be scheduled for either the first or second Monday in August and after that we will be diligently prepping the Golf Course for peak season. As we are coming into summer, we would like to respectfully remind the community to help us as much as possible with traffic control and course conditions. Please respect the rope that is on the golf course, veer away from bare spots and use the cart path as much as possible. In addition, we would like to ask that residents do not walk or ride around the course unless you are checked in and playing golf. The golf course should be reserved for paying golfers and any other persons would be considered a safety hazard – thank you in advance for your cooperation. Stay tuned to our website and social media for more events like this including our Summer Tournament Series that will be open to members, residents and public guests. As we reopen, we ask that everyone remember that we are still in a pandemic and it is not possible to just go back to normal. Please be patient, not only with our staff but anywhere you go out. Everyone has new sanitization procedures and policies for doing business. We are doing our best to get open and stay open with a safe and healthy operation. We look forward to having you in the restaurant, Chatham’s Café and the Golf Course. For updates on the restaurant and golf course we will continue to be active on the Arlington Ridge Golf Club and Chesapeake Bay Grille Facebook page. We encourage everyone to follow that page as that is most likely where you will find information first. Sincerely Justin Fox General Manager, PGA JULY 5 |
