Conclusion This flagship 9,500m 2 building , which began construction in November 2006 , was completed in February 2008 . It represents a confident commitment to a project that has been slow to gain impetus but which seems set to expand into a beyond the multi-billion rand infrastructure already created for it , and thereby to transform the fortunes of a region traditionally regarded as the ‘ poor relation ’ of its more affluent neighbours , KwaZulu-Natal and the Cape Province .
INTERIOR DESIGNER ’ S REPORT Johannesburg based Turnkey Interiors ( TKI ), together as a J . V . with a local ( Eastern Cape ) company Adendorff Architects & Interiors successfully tendered for the Coega Development Corporation ’ s ( CDC ) head quarters fit out back in 2007 . As part of the brief and objectives from the CDC , the interior fit-out and finish was to include :
• 5 floors of modern office space ( 2 wings : East & West ), with a central core housing the main entrance , reception and customer service areas on the ground floor , with a 5-storey complementary atrium . ( Incl . basement parking ) - 9,500m 2 of floor space .
