Façades The Dorp and Stadler Street façades are a contemporary interpretation of the scale and proportioning that is characteristic of the Cape Dutch vernacular . In urban design terms , the building strongly defines the corner of Adam Tas and Dorp Street by forming a perimeter block . The elevations on Dorp and Stadler Streets relate to the urban character of Stellenbosch town , whereas the elevation that bends along Adam Tas Road is more contemporary in character with rhythmic vertical fins and slot windows that articulate the
façade and relate to the dynamic character of Adam Tas Road and the railway beyond . The heights of elements of the new building were designed to line up with the existing building on the corner of Dorp and Stadler Streets .
Interior One enters securely either from the parking at the basement and ground levels or from the main entrance on Stadler Street , where one is greeted by an inviting deli and café space . The two main vertical circulation cores take one up
