ARCHITECTURAL FOCUS
The project explores the idea of architecture as both an anchor and a transition.
Composed of a refined grid of glass and bronze horizontal lines, the façade envelope accommodates sliding openings, corner windows, balconies and technical elements in a continuous architectural rhythm. The façade’ s layered system integrates operable components tailored to Hong Kong’ s extreme weather, ensuring comfort and flexibility at all heights— even during tropical typhoons.
The podium, clad entirely in deeply textured natural stone, recalls the traditional retaining walls that have historically supported the city’ s hillside development. Its massive yet finely articulated volume roots the towers to the ground while reimagining their urban base as a transitional space. At street level, the building engages directly with Castle Road and Seymour Road through multiple access points— five on Castle Road alone— including a grand, semi-
