Your generosity and support of our youth is wonderful , and we thank you so very much . There are many global discussions around the running of the YWC , with the USA putting a tentative interest forward to run the event in 2026 .
Once we have confirmation of this , along with the ruling about age as we have missed a year , we will put forward our application forms . The selection camp will be tentatively booked for July 2025 at AELEC .
We are in discussions with New Zealand regarding the Trans Tasman , and both countries agree the event has to run alternate years to the YWC , which is tentatively scheduled for 2026 . Stay tuned for updates on this event .
I would like to thank my hard working sub committee my 2IC Kane Skopp and Kim Johnson , who ’ s wealth of knowledge is unsurpassed . Gemma Clarke our General Manager for all of her help , Ricky Glen our AQHA President and the BOD .
Please feel free to contact me with any ideas or questions .

Geetings to all Members , As you would be aware I ’ m currently the Portfolio holder for the ProHorseman group for the AQHA .
This up and coming year the ProHorseman group with the support of the AQHA will be running some clinics to help support and further educate it ’ s members to then intern provide a better and safer environment for their customers / clients . With already two clinics been run in both Victoria and Queensland and with the help of the AQHA we have been able to offer these clinics at no fee to the member . We the ProHorseman committee are now sourcing international clinicians to help with this process , and are well underway looking in to venues and suitable times in which will be most beneficial for our members . Its our way of giving back to the members , and hopefully will create interest in trainers that have been thinking about it but haven ’ t taken the next step .
The group is also still working on a recognition award to be handed out at the AQHA ’ s annual awards night ( more info to come soon ), and still recognizing results awarded to members in specific events by means of cash incentives at some select affiliate , state and National shows . If you are a trainer and been thinking that this may interest you , please don ’ t hesitate to contact me or speak with other current prohorseman for more information .

- Portfolio : National Show Director
For those that weren ’ t able to attend Q24 National Show this year , I hope to see you all next year for Q25 . As usual it was a showcase of the best of the best of our breed . Once again showing the versatility and trainability of The Australian Quarter Horse . Even though we are still feeling the affects of life post Covid the participation was notably higher . Overall the number of horses in attendance was up almost 25 % on previous years which as an organizer of this event moving forward gives us a confidence that the industry is on a positive turn . It was great to see both youth and amateur numbers increased as well as horse aged events being well represented . Once again we had great support from the cutting sector of the AQHA , with members taking
advantage of the availability of pre-works . On a downside we weren ’ t able to run the campdraft competition this year as the availability of cattle was scarce , which was disappointing as its always a great spectacle for spectators and is always well supported by the membership . Plans are well underway for Q25 with a schedule of events to be posted shortly and we look forward to seeing you all there .
Lastly I would like thank all our volunteers , sponsors and show team as with all of you this would not be achievable . And to the members that support and compete at our Q shows , without you there is no National Show . Goodluck to all .
Regards Kyle Mobberley National Show Director
