DIRECTOR REPORTS - 2024 / 2025
We have been working towards a new registration form that has been approved by AmQHA to make it easier for you the breeders to dual register your foals .
AmQHA is the largest equine breeding registry in the world , 130 countries with approximately 31,000 members and 440,000 registered QH , they are keen to develop more communications with all international affiliates .
I have worked diligently in all aspects of AQHA supporting all directors and with the elections of new Directors for 2024 coming I would ask for your support .
I have enjoyed being your International Portfolio Director and support all areas of AQHA . We have had an outstanding year & I look forward to 2024-25 .
Thank you to you the members for your support throughout 2023-2024 .
With thanks Kim Johnson International Portfolio , AmQHA Director International Committee , Cattle and Timed Events Committee , Youth Committee , Amateur Committee .

Our affiliates have been busy running shows for our members to attend . I am sure we all appreciate the effort these volunteers do for all of us . We understand it is a tough job to keep abreast of rule changes and AQHA requirements .
We have had a couple of affiliates that have had low attendance numbers at their shows and some instances where shows have had to be cancelled . We conducted a couple of ZOOM meetings where representatives from most clubs have attended and we discussed these problems and brainstormed some ideas that have worked for other clubs like running different types of events to suit the horse demographic in their areas . This has seen a number of clubs run events like beginner / rookie , hacking , all breeds and versatility ranch shows .
This has given our affiliates a different avenue for them to fundraise and keep their clubs afloat . We have also seen an increase in the Versatility Ranch shows being run this past year , which is great to see .

I am pleased to present my end of year report to you . The Youth Division have had very productive year . Some of the progressive moves include :
• Opening a separate Youth bank account .
• Fundraising in the amount of $ 18,000.00
• Passing a motion that $ 5.00 from each new or renewal youth membership to be forwarded to the youth bank account to be put towards camps , clinics , education and incentives .
• Online stallion auction .
• A budget amount for our cattle camp in 2025 .
• A budget amount to put towards youth camps and clinics .
• Partnering the NCHA in way of cash sponsorship to send
We are currently in the process of providing our affiliate clubs , who run approved western shows , a simple guide for our show managers / gate marshalls regarding attire and equipment rules for the different types of classes . I feel this will assist affiliates with training new workers at our shows . This initiative has had to wait until the new rule book became effective so the rules are the most up to date they can be . These will be sent out to affiliates very soon .
We have sent out an affiliates newsletter advising clubs to be aware of their procedures regarding their constitution and state incorporated associations legislation . This becomes important around the time of the year when AGMs are being held and new committee members are installed at clubs .
Often a lot of experience is lost when positions are vacated or changed and this leaves club committee members not knowing what needs to be completed .
I look forward to being of assistance to any affiliate and can be contacted at any time with any queries .

a NCHA Youth team to Wyoming July 2024 for the National High School Rodeo Finals - Cutting Team . I am pleased to announce that our youth camps will be up and running this financial year , starting with QLD . These camps are run in conjunction with our AQHA affiliates who can apply for funding to run a camp in their state .
The application forms are available at the office . Our online stallion auction was run in July , raising over $ 9,000 to be put towards our youth educational camps .
We intend to run this online auction every year as our major fundraiser , so keep us in mind when you are looking for a stallion . We will endeavor to have these wonderful horses with many more in coming years .
Much thanks goes to the stallion owners who donated a
