The marketing committee have received a lot of positive feedback regarding the broader coverage of Q24 and would like to thank the many members who cooperated with the interviews and inspirational stories about their involvement in the association and celebration of their achievements !
The welcome dinner again was a huge success and brought all competitors , friends and family together for a great meal and drink or two to start a great week of showing . All proceeds of the night went to charity .
The $ 50 random cash giveaways were welcomed among many classes and acted as an incentive to increase participation which was great to see .
Our growing social media presence has been excellent and evident in the statistics- from 4,500 followers to now in excess of 18,000 people now following AQHA content with plans in place to continue to market the most versatile equine breed to the public .
There were in excess of 250,000 interactions on the facebook posts during Q24 alone . Our AQHA Director interviews are being released soon which was an initiative to put a face to our names and hopefully encourage members to come to the directors with any concerns or ideas . Plans are in place to begin to introduce our Professional Horsemen via video interviews also .
The board of directors have approved our request to revamp the AQHA website to make it more accessible and user friendly for our members . With so much content and information to transfer , we are currently in negotiations to get this project underway .
The Board have also approved our request to offer one grant per state to assist in running costs of ‘ Introduction to AQHA ’ where Pro Horsemen will educate members of the public on all AQHA events in an attempt to generate memberships and participation . Details will be available soon as to how your affiliate can apply for this grant .
Keep an eye on our social media pages for news and information and don ’ t hesitate to contact me if you have a great story or news you think the membership would enjoy .
Thankyou to my subcommittee Liz Keating and Leah Michelle .
