PRESIDENT REPORT - MARCH / APRIL 2025
RICKY GLEN - PRESIDENT
The Amateurs are again funding clinics within each state of Australia so please contact the office or the AQHA Amateur Division for updates on these so you do not miss out .
The AQHA Stud Book which is the core business of the association has again established a long term subcommittee consisting of long time breeders who along with one of Australia ’ s leading vets to ensure we stay in touch with anything that could effect or breed in the future and works closely with the AmQHA in regards to any genetic issues which may raise its head . Its important to our association that this is done to maintain the integrity of our breed overall .
The Hall of Fame nominations for 2025 have closed and the subcommittee will be looking at held over and new nominations before putting our recommendations to the board to be inducted in 2025 at our Annual Dinner which this year will be held in Melbourne .
The Ranch side of our industry has been booming and Paul Lorimer who holds this important portfolio has been working closely with the RHAA to ensure our members have the benefit to compete in the classes at National and state level . The growth in this side of our industry has been huge and it will only get stronger in the future .
The Professional Trainers portfolio is now headed by Dave Caleo who has also got a strong subcommittee covering all aspects of competitions across Australia and they are looking to encourage more professional trainers to join this group .
In closing , I have encouraged all board members who holds a portfolio to submit reports to members via our magazine and I would like to thank those who have as I believe its important for the board to keep the membership informed what is going on in there portfolio as you the membership vote us in as directors and I am sure you all would like to get feed back from those you have voted for .
With Thanks , Ricky Glen ( AQHA President )
