Also inducted was John Breckleman and Terry and Chris Hall and John and Jen Corbet who are all AQHA members , sadly we lost John Breckleman a few years ago and AQHA would like to congratulate these outstanding horses and people for there induction into the Nutrien Hall of Fame .
Another highlight was to see Blythe Stranger who works for the AQHA and represented us in the Classic ladies Foundation Young Ambassadors where she was the Runner Up and has been recognised for her work initiative , dedication to the community and kindness to others , qualities that truly embody the work and spirit of the Classic Ladies Foundation who since inception has raised over $ 1,000,000.00 which has been given to charitable institutions throughout Australia .
This was the 1st time that AQHA has fielded an entrant and we are so pleased to see Blythe achieve this award .
Q25 is fast approaching and if the last years nationals is anything to go by , it should be a bumper show and I would like to wish all members safe travels and the best of luck at this years show . The AQHA board has approved an increase in prizemoney on offer and of course we will have 2 American judges officiating over the show . The members welcome dinner will be on again and I look forward to seeing you all there , I believe the youth will be once again hosting there annual auction as well to raise funds for programs they have coming up .
Speaking of the youth , we will have news on the Youth World Cup in the near future , Kim Johnson who is the International Portfolio holder will be traveling to the AmQHA annual convention were there will be meetings on the future of this competition so stay tuned for updates very soon .
Liz Keating who holds the youth portfolio is working on the 2025 Youth Stallion Auction and we are looking for breeders to support the youth fund raising by donation of service fees to there stallions in 2025 , I would like to thank the owners of stallions who kindly donated breeding ’ s in 2024 as well .
Jo Gregory has been doing great work with the Judges portfolio and has been having some online seminars to encourage members to become AQHA judges and Jo will update you all in her report .
On the marketing side , you will all agree that the regular updates via social media has been well received , Kane Skope who holds this portfolio has been working hard with his subcommittee to market our breed within and outside our industry .
