PG.38 SHOW REPORTS 01 N Non Pro Derby Amateur Champion - Brett Johns on Dee Bar Angel Blue A2-3106 Senior Youth Champion - Jasmine Shumack on Fair Lady Flash Q-86040 scoring 215.5 points to be crowned the Yulgilbar Quarter Horses Snaffle- bit Open Futurity Champions. They took home a Trophy Saddle from Mavericks Western Wear, a Trophy buckle sponsored by the NCHA, a $1,000 Voucher from EquiVibe Australia and a garland. Reserve Champion for 2019 on a score of 215 points was Jim MacCallum and ‘Smooth Groove Q-92582’ taking home some great prizes and awards. Another new event for the Futurity was the NON-PRO PINNACLE sponsored by Affinity Equine Insurance. Twelve nominations vied for the $12,000 prize money, the Ridetuff Buckles & Jewellery and the amazing Pinnacle Trophy a very special piece. Amelia Servin and her horse ‘QXH Bonitas Stylish Q-84558’ were eventually crowned as the 2019 Affinity Equine Insurance Non Pro Pinnacle Champions, with Reserve Champion going to the great mare Non Pro Futurity Champion - Amelia Servin on Rockin The Boonbox Q-84558 Junior Youth Champion - Jacoba Tanner on Peptos Angelique Q-64562 ‘Suicide Blonde Q-80692’ and Phil Conaghan on a score of 221 points. With two days of cutting action left, Saturday the 8th June was packed out. First off the rank was the AMATEUR NON PRO DERBY, sponsored by Advanced Catering Systems. Five nominated riders competed for the title. Mr Brett Johns rode ‘Dee Bar Angel Blue A2-3106’ to be crowned the Champions. Reserve Champion was Mark Hinman on board ‘One Time Freckle Q-80941’ with a score of 208 points. THE NON PRO SNAFFLE-BIT FUTURITY FINAL, sponsored by Yulgilbar Quarter Horse Stud, boasted ten riders, with 219 points sending Christopher Ware and his own chestnut stallion ‘One Knight Stand A1-12693’ to the winners circle as Champion. Reserve Champion went to Jim MacCallum, on board his bay gelding, ‘Smooth Groove Q-92582’. Always a great event at the Futurity is the TIM MITCHELL - SENIOR AND JUNIOR YOUTH CUTTING. Showcasing our next generation of cutters, it was fantastic to see them out there showing. The event was won by Jasmine Shumack and ‘Fair Lady Flash Q-86040’ with 221 points. Reserve Champion was shared by Kaitlin Smith and ‘Tramps Destiny Q-49450’ and Ben Hinman on board ‘Turpentine Reyn Q-63334’, each marking 214pts. MITCHELL FARMS JUNIOR YOUTH FINAL was won by Miss Jacoba Tanner on board ‘Peptos Angelique Q-64562’ with a score of 217 points. Reserve Champion for the Mitchell Farms Junior Youth was Olivia MacCallum, showing ‘Get Hawky Q-82246’, with a score of 215 points, taking home some amazing prizes.
