LACEY LALOR

I live in Rockhampton Queensland . I have been riding since before I could walk as my Grandmother Kathy Thomas used to breed and show Quarter horse along with my mum .
Horses have always been a major part of my life from the beginning and now to be able to represent Australia at The Youth World Cup . I first started out on a little Shetland pony called Chino he definitely taught me how to hang on . After him I had LBS Smart Little Freckles ‘ Freckles ’ for short and she taught me everything and I was able to win my first ever high point on her .
Whilst owning Freckles we also owned a Welsh Mountain pony Milo and took him to several agricultural shows and showed other ponies as-well . Then my one in a million unicorn came along Dennis . He carried me around and put up with me even when my legs didn ’ t go past the saddle pad but some how we got around classes and he took me to my first Nationals in 2014 and took me to High point . I also showed Jezza for 2 years in Hack , Ranch , and Dressage . I took Jezza to a couple of agricultural shows to win champion girl rider and reserve champion hack . My favourite AQHA events are TRAIL as I have always loved the complexity and obstacles in it . I also love RANCH RIDING it is so fun to do and it has such interesting components like roping and dragging or picking up objects . Something I will bring to the team is a happy supportive can do attitude , that will be there till the end . Here are some things you may not know about me I love swimming and I can play The Devil Went Down To Georgia on the violin . I am also currently applying to QUT to start my Law degree ..

TIRRA EWERS

I live in Brisbane Queensland I ’ m an upcoming rider in competitive shows and am under the guidance of TNT Training Stables . I have never been to YWC but I look forward to this experience .
My two horses are like chalk and cheese , Whiskey aka Sin and Spin is a 13 year old Quarter Horse Gelding , we have mostly done Ranch , Versatility and Reining and he has taught me so much . He has the cheekiest personality and is a big softie , he always loves a big hug from his mumma and a treat on the side .
Kyle aka Best Ta Be Hot is a 4 year old Quarter Horse Gelding , he is my all around Western Performance horse . He tries his little heart out for me or maybe for the licorice he knows he is going to get . If I had to choose a favourite AQHA event , it would be hard to pick a favourite when all the classes are why I love showing so much and each class to its own has a challenge involved in them , and can have a rewarding outcome . I believe I can bring great sportsmanship and encouragement to the YWC team . Something about myself that not everyone would know , is that outside the horse industry I also have a passion for volleyball and play for my school team .
