Vision School Scotland Award
We are delighted to share that we have recently become a Level 1 Vision School . This award celebrates schools who demonstrate excellence in Holocaust Education . A small number of pupils visited the Scottish Parliament last month to receive the award , which celebrated work we have carried out over a number of years including Personal Support inputs , cross-curricular teaching of the Holocaust , and trips such as attending the Glasgow synagogue to learn more about Jewish culture and heritage .
At the Parliament , Vision Schools Scotland , in partnership with the Holocaust Educational Trust celebrated the achievement of Marr College and 10 other schools that have demonstrated sustainability , commitment and good practice in teaching and learning about the Holocaust . Awards were presented by Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills , Ms Shirley-Anne Somerville , and award-winning journalist and author Chitra Ramaswamy will be the guest speaker .
