S1 Modern Studies Election Campaigns The arrival of Spring brought election fever to the History and Modern Studies department .
As part of their Modern Studies Democracy topic , S1s worked in teams to organise their own election campaigns . Each team selected a candidate and political party . The teams designed posters , manifestos and rosettes to publicise their campaigns . Each candidate also delivered a speech to their class . The elections were tightly contested and the calibre of work was very impressive . Following the elections ( using a secret ballot of course !) the wining parties in each class were :
• 1D – Labour ( Itai Ben Horesh , Cameron Docherty , Finlay Taylor , Fraser Laws )
• 1F1 – Liberal Democrats ( Caitlin Leckie , Giorgia Balsari , Emily Duffy , Jorja Strachan )
• 1L1 – Labour ( Taylor Murray , Kayla Girvan , Lola Barron , Louise Barrie , Ethan Gibson , Niamh Bloy ).
• 1L2 – Liberal Democrats ( Aniah Polland , Madison Smith , Baxter Oattes , Freya Swan , Flynn Gilgallon ).
• 1P1 – SNP ( Eilidh Cotter , Kelsie Abbot , Lilly Adams , Timur Zinchenko , Jack Cowan )
• 1P2 – Liberal Democrats - ( Isla McMaster , Jordan McIntosh , Fraser McCulloch , Erin Laughlin , Oscar Gold , Brianne Burnett )
• 1W – Liberal Democrats – ( Max MacEwan , Sophie McIntosh , Elizabete Auzina , Harry Bartling )
