Author Visit ! Guest Speaker Computing Science

The library chose some of our many Marr students to go to an author event to hear Manjeet Man talk about her 2 books , Run Rebel and The Crossing . She told them all about the story behind the books and how she can relate to her book in her own way , this was very interesting . She told them how she came from acting to writing plays to writing her first two books . Thank you so much for the visit !
It was wonderful to see former student , Matthew , return to share his studies around Cyber Security ! He has been completing a degree in this field and returned to Marr to share what he has learned and give a presentation to the Higher class about his experience at University . A great experience for our Computing Science students .
Higher and Advanced Higher students have been working on their SQA Assignments this month – well done to everyone for their hard work .
N5 Practical Cookery

“ We are so proud of our National 5 Practical Cookery pupils who completed a 2.5hr practical exam this month . They were tasked with producing a three-course meal for four people . The recipes made were – Three Cheese Filo Swirls , Brazilian Chicken with Savoury Rice , and Lemon and Courgette Bar Cake . All dishes were served by the set service times and to an excellent standard too ! The results show all of the hard work and commitment put in to prepare for the exam . Well done !”
