S3 Accounting Elective
Budgeting & Stock Market Game
Our S3 Accounting Elective were learning about the importance of budgeting and how to create cash budgets . They put this to the test with a holiday task and presented their cash budgets to the class – some great financial literacy skills on show . The winner will be announced at the end of term .
Students also took part in the Natwest Budgeting Game to see if they could run a household for 12 weeks .
Finally , our S3 Accounting students are participating in the Stock Market Game run by SIFMA – this teaches students about investments , giving them $ 100,000 of virtual cash to invest on the New York Stock Exchange . We are delighted to say that we currently have one team ranked as Number 1 in the Region .
IDEA Award Success
The Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award , known as iDEA , is an international award-winning programme that helps you develop and demonstrate your digital , enterprise and employability skills for free .
We now have 77 students with an IDEA Bronze Award 🥉and 5 having achieved Silver 🥈 .
S2 Digital Enterprise students have been working on their award covering topics such as Internet Safety , Business Ethics , Social Media and
Marketing , Automation and Teamwork .
You can even work on your badged from home and on the go on your phone .
