The beloved Primo ’ s Pizza caught fire recently . Although no one was injured in the fire , the structural damage has left Primos without a building .
The classic location has been a popular stop in Birmingham since 1978 . No matter if you had to get a quick meal for the family or just wanted a slice for yourself , Primo ’ s was always open .
Luckily , we won ’ t have to say bye to Primo ’ s just yet . After much contemplation on what the move for Primo ’ s should be , they have decided to take half of TruFoods ’ space in the cafeteria starting April 1 . Primo ’ s will bring its chefs , ovens and other equipment
A fire damaged the Birmingham hotspot in March
to keep that same Primo ’ s taste that ’ s loved by all . With both TruFoods and Primo ’ s in the cafeteria , students
can now choose between the hot and cold options TruFoods serves , or a slice from the Primos section .
“ I ’ ve eaten Primo ’ s for years , and I was devastated to find out there was a fire ,” said Junior Max Ercolani . “ I go to Primo ’ s every week over the summer .” While locals are disappointed Primos is leaving the original location , many Rice students are happy it will be moving here and will be available every day .

In a surprise move , the Michigan High School Athletic Association ( MHSAA ) has decided to allow betting on high school sports across the state . Effective April 1 , in line with the Spring sports season , gambling will be open for all high school sports , even including bowling , chess , and sailing .
The MHSAA website , mhsaa-bets . com , has a simple format , allowing a larger base to gamble . A straightup money line will mean bettors can make their money extremely efficiently .
You may be asking , “ Where is the MSHAA getting all of this money from to pay their winners ?” The answer
is Dave Portnoy of the Barstool Foundation . Portnoy has toured all around the country , including Michigan , promoting small businesses . He felt a great way to give back to the state was to donate a large ( undisclosed ) amount of money to Michigan sports .
The MHSAA gratefully accepted his donation and put it directly toward gambling .
There are issues about whether or not the athletes will be endorsed or paid , since the MHSAA is now making money off of them . MHSAA spokesperson Robbie Rykerson quickly squashed criticism , stating , “ These athletes are no good . Unlike other organizations , I ’ m not afraid to get fired for this statement .”
