Come one , come all for an afternoon of bingo and fun . Join us on Tuesday , April 9 from 3-5 p . m . in the Charbonneau Clubhouse Dinning Room .

Billiards / pool

If you enjoy playing pool , regardless of ability , all adults are welcome to join us and meet others who enjoy playing . We will be playing on Thursday , April 18 at 2 p . m . We will play in rotation so that more people can play . While waiting you can play ping-pong , or shuffle board .

A night of country music , food and dancing

Join us for Country Night @ Charbonneau with Southern Nights . On Sunday , April 21 put on your cowboy / girl hat and shoes for an evening of country music , food and dancing . From 3-4:30 p . m . there will be free line dancing instructions from Kat Nichols , who is a Portland-based line dance instructor . A buffett dinner and drinks will be offered from 5-7 p . m . and the concert performed by Southern Nights will run from 6-8 p . m . The event costs $ 45 to attend . Southern Nights is a country western band led by Wayne Richards , who happens to be a Charbonneau resident . You ’ re going to love lead singer KJ Miller , who ’ s on the Landmark Ford Commercials . Brent Rogers is recording the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and plays a wonderful bass . Bob Pearson is a most versatile drummer and Paul Hirschmann is one of the finest guitar players in the country . Southern Nights has four national award-winning songs and one for Portland ’ s song of the year . Positively Entertainment said , “ This is country heart and soul with a sometimes-campy edge . Wayne narrates the story behind the song with a great sense of humor . Wayne Richards and Southern Nights have been a popular Northwest attraction at many venues for over two decades .” The A & R called them “ Spicy Country .”

Charbonneau Food Drive The Wilsonville Community Sharing / food bank can use your help again . On Wednesday , April 24 , from 830 a . m . to 1 p . m . in the Activity Center lobby , you can submit donations that would be greatly appreciated . Items collected help those who are experiencing difficulties and could really use your help . Items of special interest this month are : shampoo , paper towels , toilet paper and toothbrushes . If you can ’ t get out to shop , or would like to make a monetary donation , please make checks out to Wilsonville Community Sharing . Your assistance , big or small , is greatly appreciated .

Meet and Greet

New or relatively new Charbonneau residents can meet board member and Meet and Greet Chair Mary Fieweger on April 26 from 10-11 a . m . in the Hazel Glade Room , and please try some of her absolutely delicious goodies . Come meet other new residents and learn more about the facilities and opportunities here in Charbonneau . Mary will have guest speakers Joanne Vetter and Lee Harker to share more about Charbonneau .

Partners Pitch Tournament

The second annual Parters Pitch Tournament will be held Friday , May 17 at 5 p . m . in the Charbonneau Activity Center . Fifteen years ago , Pitch began as an organized Charbonneau event , and , on May 17 , we are holding our second annual tournament ! Two men , two women or mix couples can play . All levels are welcome . After two 20-minute games , we will break for dinner , and scorecards will determine which group a team will join for after-dinner play with a new scorecard . Group A will include the highest scorers and group B will include the lowest scorers . Cash prizes will be awarded to winners from each group . The exact price and dinner menu are to be determined but will be in the $ 40- $ 45 range . There is limited seating and people are already signing up , so contact Dana Richmond for more information and / or if you wish to sign up at madamrich @ comcast . net . Leave your name , phone number , partner ’ s name and email address . If you need a partner , please leave your name with me and we will do all we can to secure a partner for you . At least one person on each team needs to live in Charbonneau . More information will follow through country club email alerts and on the clubhouse activity board . We hope to see the best pitch players in Charbonneau at this event .
