April 2023 ASCE-Region 1 Assembly ( In-Person / Virtual Hybrid )
The 2022 ASCE-Region 1 Assembly was held from March 31 st to April 1 st at Rowan University in Glassboro , NJ and was a hybrid model in terms of attendance with members joining in-person and others virtually . This hybrid model seems to drive up attendance , as there are many individuals who might not be able to make the trip , but would still like to be involved in the discussions . This is the same model that was in-place for the September ASCE Region 1 Assembly that was held in Fall 2022 .
The assembly was facilitated by John Folts ( ASCE Region 1 Director ) who did an excellent job and ensured that each topic of discussion was addressed without derailing the scheduled agenda . To kick everything off , the meeting minutes from September 2022 were reviewed and approved by the Assembly Delegates , followed by the introduction of ASCE ’ s strategic plan for 2023-2028 :
