OnPoint Manufacturing develops innovative
garments for Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
OnPoint Manufacturing Inc. (OPM),
a USA-based apparel manufacturer,
specialised in on-demand
customisation, has recently
developed new uniforms for the
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra;
a famous American symphony
orchestra. OPM partnered with
the renowned fashion designer
Gabi Asfour and the Parsons
School of Design which redesigned
new garments for the Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra and,
thereafter, OPM manufactured these
garments in its state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility in Alabama.
The design and manufacturing were
obtained under the leadership of
the symphony’s music director
Marin Alsop who seemed thrilled
with the garments designed by
Gabi Asfour. Lately, Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra came across
some concerns in its uniforms
such as the uniforms are hot as
well as restrictive. Therefore, it’s
pertinent to mention here that,
being a part of a consortium with
Gabi Asfour and the Parsons
School of Design, OPM was
committed to work upon the
concerns raised by symphony in
their current uniforms. The new
uniforms achieve a whole new
level of comfort and beauty for
the symphony members, states
a recent press release issued by
OnPoint Manufacturing.
Explaining his side of the
partnership, Gabi Asfour
commented, “I came across
OnPoint Manufacturing after
months of research and talks with
other apparel manufacturers.
OPM team’s dedication to achieve
a superior product and its
unique, on-demand, customised

apparel industry.” The Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra unveiled their
new orchestral uniforms on 8th and
9th June during their programmes
led by Marin Alsop at two different
venues; the Joseph Meyerhoff
Symphony Hall in Baltimore and
The Music Center at Strathmore in
North Bethesda, MD, respectively.
