Partnership were recognized as“ forward leaning” in the area of community based policing efforts. Lt. Rollins’ committee will travel to other police agencies to conduct peer-to-peer research in the spring of 2017. The Arlington Police Department committee expects to conclude its research and technical assistance in the summer of 2017. The final report from the COPS Office is due out in early 2018. At the conclusion of the project, Arlington will serve as a best practices agency on how police organizations interact with the communities they serve.
