DR. JOHN PERKINS traveled to Arlington and spent two days in discussions on racial reconciliation. The forums included a community event at Cornerstone Baptist Church along with informal forums with employees. The conversation on protecting the civil rights of all individuals coupled with the importance of positive dialogue between police and citizens took center stage during these events.
STATIC DISPLAYS were held to educate the public on various operations throughout the department including Motors, Special Event Management, SWAT, Explosive Breaching, and Tactical Intelligence Unit. These community forums were a big hit with local residents and bridged the gap for a better understanding on how the department responds to calls within the community.
