Careers in the arts and social sciences Monash Career Mentoring Program
mentor workshop
An interactive workshop was organised by alumni from the
School of Arts and Social Sciences to share career advice with
final-year students. Coming from diverse careers and
industries, ranging from journalism to research and policy, our
alumni enlightened students on various potential career
pathways available to them after completing their
undergraduate degree, and provided practical advice on how
to get started on their careers. The Monash Career Mentoring Program, aimed at
undergraduate students in their final year of study, connects
students with experienced alumni. Alumni share advice, career
journeys and industry insights on the students’ chosen careers
as they transition from the university to the workplace. Mentors
and student mentees are matched to the best possible fit
based on their chosen careers, experience, interests and
preferences.
Fit and Fab Monash–Sunway Alumni Games
Organised in celebration of International Women's Day and in
line with Monash’s Respect Now Always campaign, Fit and Fab
brought together alumnae for a morning of fitness and fun.
Participants enjoyed a body circuit session led by alumna and
celebrity fitness expert Linora Low, a yoga session, and a
self-defense demonstration by the Monash Taekwondo Club. We organised our first joint sporting event with Sunway
University where alumni from both universities entered friendly
competitions in futsal and badminton. This follows badminton
clinics and a mini badminton tournament earlier in the year
where the Sunway Exchange Program extended an invitation to
our alumni to compete in the men’s doubles category.
