Student athletes represent at SEA Games
Four of our students were part of the nation’s pride
when they bagged medals in four events during the
2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Farah Ann Abdul
Hadi and Sivanantha Gobal Krishnan took home the
gold for gymnastics (team all-round and floor) and
cricket respectively, Yong Jin Kun the silver for
taekwondo (men's team and mixed pair), and Chai Jie
Lun the bronze for aquatic water polo.

US Embassy officials visit JCSMHS
Diplomats from the United States Embassy in Kuala
Lumpur visited the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and
Health Sciences (JCSMHS) at the Clinical School Johor
Bahru. Recently arrived in Malaysia, Deputy Chief of
Mission Dean Thompson met with faculty to learn about
their areas of research and collaboration with US
universities.
Monash Malaysia R&D is launched
Monash Malaysia launched its subsidiary, Monash Malaysia
R&D Sdn Bhd (MMR&D). As an approved R&D status company
by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, MMR&D
strives to influence and impact local organisations to invest in
research and development that will enable Malaysia to be an
innovation-driven economy. Additionally, it aims to provide
leading-edge research and development expertise to industries
and organisations, to discover innovative solutions that
enhance their global competitiveness.
Monash Business is accredited by AACSB
The School of Business received its own accreditation
from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business (AACSB), independent of its counterpart at
Monash Australia. We remain the only private
university in Malaysia to have been accorded this
recognition. The School also became a signatory
member of the United Nations' Principles for
Responsible Management Education initiative.
