Monash named #2 in the world for pharmacy
and pharmacology
The 2017 QS World University Rankings by Subject placed
Monash second in the world for pharmacy and pharmacology.
The new rankings mean that Monash continues to be number
one in Australia and within the Asia Pacific region. We have
averaged a top 10 ranking in the discipline since the subject
rankings were introduced in 2011.
Recognising academic excellence
A total of 236 undergraduate and postgraduate
students were awarded scholarships for their
academic achievements in two Scholarships Award
Ceremonies. The award recipients were from all
seven schools across six scholarship categories.
The Campus Masterplan begins
We are investing in the future by building new spaces
for informal learning, student collaboration and research
innovation. The first phase started with the expansion
and development of a large informal learning space
situated above the library, and a three-tier link deck
between buildings 5 and 6.
Professors part of global slum
revitalisation project
Professors Daniel Reidpath and Pascale Allotey are part
of an international research consortium which has been
awarded an AUD $14 million grant from Wellcome Trust
(UK), for a Monash-led research project that will potentially
improve the lives of more than a billion people living in
urban slums globally.
