Launch of Selangor Industrial Master Plan Study
Commissioned by Invest Selangor , the study was conducted over a period of 14 months , focusing on the potential of five different core industrial clusters in Selangor : life sciences , food and beverage manufacturing , electrical and electronics , transport equipment , and machinery and equipment . The study will serve as a guideline for the Selangor State Government , particularly Invest Selangor , in the formulation of a future action plan to advance the state into a competitive economy in the ASEAN region .

Business Sentiment 2016 / 2017 – A perspective from Malaysian executives
This survey provided insights into the challenges faced and actions taken by Malaysian firms from the vantage point of practices and opinions expressed by CEOs and senior managers . Views of the business community provided an important compass point on pressing global , regional and local business issues and how Malaysian firms fare in addressing them . Building on previous surveys , the Malaysian Business Sentiment Survey 2016 / 17 reported on how Malaysian companies are navigating turbulent and uncertain times to enhance their competitiveness .

Tutorial for MOOC on implementation research
A massive online open course ( MOOC ) on implementation research was developed by a team of global experts , including researchers from Monash Malaysia , for the World Health Organisation . The MOOC illustrated implementation research concepts with real case studies that will be introduced , presented and interpreted by both experienced public health researchers and practitioners , as well as academics . This facilitates the dissemination of the concept of implementation research among the main stakeholders in the fight against infectious diseases .

The glycaemic index of SUITENA 178
Monash Malaysia and Fiatec Bioactive Sdn Bhd ( a Malaysian company involved in developing food products and dietary supplements ) entered into a research collaboration to investigate the glycaemic index of SUITENA 178 , a sweetener based on naturally-occurring polyols , and its potential as a sugar substitute with low GI . The manufacturing of health food and dietary supplements in Malaysia and the region provides synergy to Monash ’ s research interest , especially in food science , an area where Monash Malaysia is the lead for the whole Monash family .
