Gerontechnology Symposium
For all the progress made with the advancement of technology, we still
appear to fall short when it comes to having a coherent strategy to
care for our ageing population. The first Gerontechnology Symposium
gathered pioneers in the field of gerontechnology to share and
exchange knowledge on the most recent research and development,
as well as practical solutions to problems faced by older adults.
In Search of Sabah
Healthcare Conference
In the 13th installment of the ‘In Search Of’ series, 14 travellers
from the School of Arts and Social Sciences set forth on a six-day
immersive study trip to Sabah. The students learned about life in
the cosmopolitan city of Kota Kinabalu, local townships of
Penampang, Ranau and Kundasang, and the indigenous
communities of Kampung Kipuovo and Kampung Kiau.
The quest to provide healthcare as a basic human right is often
beset by a myriad of challenges. From the issue of affordabil
