Master’ s Program & 30-Credit Teaching Certificate
A unified leadership development pathway preparing educators to lead at every level of the system. The Master’ s Program in Teacher Leadership, delivered in partnership with Yerevan State University’ s Center for Pedagogy and Education Development, transforms frontline educators into systemic leaders, equipping them to lead schools, design curricula, and shape national policy.
With 42 graduates, 55 current students, 8,000 + students directly impacted, and 92 % of graduates still working in education, it has become one of AEI’ s most powerful engines for building the leadership infrastructure Armenia’ s future demands.
The 30-Credit Teaching Certificate is a complementary credential pathway addressing Armenia’ s 600 + annual teaching vacancies. In 2022, the government passed a landmark law creating a new pathway into the profession, and Teach For Armenia became the first nonprofit in the country to receive accreditation to deliver the 30-credit certification course. Offered through our Teacher Leadership Academy, the course combines intensive training in pedagogy, Change-Based Learning, and classroom practice, including a hands-on Student Leadership Camp where participants teach alongside students before entering the classroom.
Upon completion, participants receive a government-recognized teaching certificate, qualifying them to serve in Armenia’ s highest-need schools.
