MOTION NO 6
Donation / Contribution of Rs 2100 payable towards RTI TRUST CORPUS (Contd…)
Tr. Dhruv mentioned that nobody is forced to pay. A person joins RTI voluntarily and if he want
s to join he has to pay Rs.2100/- for Corpus and Rs. 3000 in New membership fee. No member
would say no to Rs.2100/-. Tr. Christopher mentioned that the rule has to be implementable in
toto as both RTI & RTIT are different organization unlike a Table Admin & Trust. Members of
RTI are different from RTIT. Tr. Ankesh RT178 mentioned that Tablers become LMF so Table is
100% LMF and it will take 4-5years to build a corpus, we can motivate Tablers to become
100% LMF. Tr. Vishnu mentored that this is not voluntary and no mention of how this will be
used. The objective is not against the motion but we need to have a watertight motion. Tr.
Vedant RT299 mentioned that adding financial burden compulsorily should not be a deterrent.
Right to Reply:
Tr. Dhruv mentioned that we cannot take money in AOP and transfer to Trust as there is a tax
liability. People want to join the movement for the good work we have done. We have been
struggling to raise acorns and contribution from new members would help us at least 10 years
down the line.
Tr. Vishnu raised a point of order for no quorum. Quorum was established and the point of
order was withdrawn.
Motion was put to vote and was defeated.
MOTION NO 10
It is hereby resolved that the membership of Thane Lake City Round Table be revoked
from the associate membership of Round Table India.
MOTIONS NOT AFFECTING THE CONSTITUTION

Area Rules

Explanation:
Thane Lake City Round Table has not been performing the table activities as per satisfaction of
area board. The tablers at Thane Lake City Round Table have also show no inclination to revive
the table and reach the required strength of 15 members, resulting in gradual decrease of
strength of the table. The sponsor table Bombay North Round Table 19 tried to revive the table
by getting a few prospects but unfortunately during the year could not get even a single
prospect to join the table.
