Motions Motions proposed by NEX to be discussed at 58th NAGM in Chennai MOTION NO 7 NO TABLER AT ANY GIVEN POINT OF TIME CAN HOLD TWO ELECTED JEWELS Proposed by NEx Motion affecting the constitution Article III Section 1, Clause j (addition of clause) Requires 2/3rd majority Proposed Motion It is hereby proposed that any Tabler at any given point of time cannot hold two elected jewels whether at Table / Area or National. Explanation It has been observed many times that a Tabler holding a Table elected jewel is also a part of Area Head Board or National Head Board and this can be viewed as conflict of interest. Any elected post in Round Table India is a responsible position and is required to discharge duties with all fairness. Any person holding two jewels might have some influence and may not discharge his constitutional mandate fairly. The intent to being this motion is that there should be no conflict between the duties and interests of any elected member. Secondly it also gives chance to other Tablers to take up responsibilities at Table, Area or National level.
