basketballscotland Annual Report Online Ticketing The introduction of online ticketing for national and international events has been well received by the community. Online ticketing has eased the ticket sales process. Moreover, the introduction of this new tool has helped the promotion of basketballscotland events. The impact on sales is still to be compared and evaluated on the years to come, but the feedback from the community has been highly positive. This encourages us to continue finding bespoke solutions to reach and engage with the basketball fan in Scotland. Brand Development The process to develop the basketballscotland brand has started, and we will be steadily taking steps forward to become a more marketing and communications orientated organisation. basketballscotland will continue to actively explore different forms to create awareness about basketball in Scotland and to provide members, supporters and partners with the best possible access to as wide as possible basketball coverage. Sponsorship Following its implementatio n in 2011-12, we grew the “National Team Player Sponsorship” programme this year, with over 30 companies supporting National and Development Squad athletes. The funds contributed by the partners went to reducing the contribution required from the player and to enhancing the programme. We also secured a number of team and individual player sponsors for National Squads which are acknowledged on the sponsors’ page. Wellbeing Alliance Ambassador Programme.
