Workshops addressing the needs of the student body will be conducted throughout the school year. 2. Attainment of English Language and life skills in the classroom setting. 3. Services provided by the Supportive Services Department which will provide continuity as to what is presented in the workshops. Services included but are not limited to: health referrals, child care referrals, individual counseling, leadership training, job counseling, college/vocational related assistance, financial aid counseling, scholarships, immigration referrals. The school will offer a variety of workshops and activities for the students to participate in during the school year. Acquisition of life skills is defined as 80% accurate performance or better on assessments. 3 Life skills workshops address areas including but not limited to health, higher education, community relations and services, and vocational opportunities. The particular topics of the workshops are determined by the immediate and timely needs of students.
