3. Student Re-enrollment:* A testament to student satisfaction is the school’s re-enrollment rate. Over 71% of students who were eligible re-enrolled for Fall 2005. The school maintained its minimum enrollment of 900 students throughout the school year. Demand for classes remains constant. Because new student applicants outnumbered spaces available for classes, the school held enrollment lotteries and established waiting lists of over 500 students for both day and evening sessions. The majority of students enrolled in English as a Second Language classes, particularly the beginner levels, ESL One and ESL Two. 4. Demographics:* A school assembly illustrates the diversity of the student body. The Carlos Rosario Charter has one of the most ethnically, geographically and linguistically diverse student bodies. Students originated from 78 countries and spoke 39 different languages. Students came from countries such as Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Morocco, Sudan, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Yemen, Turkey, Brazil, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and the United States of America.
