According to income surveys used to determine poverty eligibility, approximately 82% of students’ income fell below the poverty line. At the same time, over 76% of students held full or part-time employment, often in the service industry in restaurants, hotels, or in construction. 5. Percentage of limited- and non-English proficient students:* The majority of Carlos Rosario School’s students’ language proficiency qualifies them as Limited English Proficient or Non-English Proficient (LEP/NEP).
