Cutting a New Path: Tracey Aitken’ s Hairdressing Legacy

After three decades in the salon, Tracey is redefining what it means to be a modern hair professional, blending creativity with technology to change the industry.
From a young age, Tracey Aitken was fascinated by the magic of transformation in the salon chair. After struggling in school, she found her confidence and creativity through hairdressing which is a career that truly clicked.
One of Tracey’ s proudest moments came when she was chosen as one of four students from Scotland to perform on stage at Salon International in London, where her team won their category. College, she says, not only built her skills but also her confidence, teaching her valuable lessons in communication and people skills that she still uses today.

“ Hairdressing has given me so much,” says Tracey.“ It’ s about people, creativity and constant learning. My advice? Think big, dream big and believe in yourself— there’ s no better investment than investing in you.”
