Christmas Disco at the Boom Box Thank you very much to FASSA for another fantastic night at the Boom Box for the Christmas Discos. The pupils of Years 7, 8 and 9 certainly showed how they could ‘strut their funkies’ as well as behaving themselves and representing the school in a positive way. FASSA Fundraising FASSA have donated £7,000 towards the purchase of new computers for W6, one of our IT suites - this represents 85% of the overall cost. The new computers have arrived in school and will be installed by our IT Team during the first week of the holidays. Well done and thank you to all of the hardworking members of the committee and everyone who has done their part to enable this to happen. This also includes all of you who supported the events, from dropping off to discos, coming along to the Festival and buying raffle tickets. Another easy way of raising funds is through on-line shopping. Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising a free donation for All Saints School? There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, Thetrainline, Asda, M&S, Argos and Sainsbury’s, who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to our school to say thank you for shopping with them. It’s really simple and doesn’t cost you anything, all you have to do is go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk . In the box ‘find a cause to support’ write “All Saints School Weymouth”, create an account and get shopping – your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to All Saints School. It couldn’t be easier. If you think you might forget to shop each time via easyfundraising then the Donation Reminder will help you. It provides a little reminder every time you shop online. Just visit the Donation Reminder page to see how it works. There are no catches or hidden charges and we will be really grateful for your donations. The next big project that FASSA are targeting is the re-surfacing of the tennis/netball courts. Uniform and Equipment When we return to school in January it is expected that all children will come to school ready to learn. This starts with wearing the correct school uniform, the full details of which can be found in your child’s log book/planner on page 5. Wearing a uniform is about belonging to the All Saints School community and should be worn properly and with pride. It also sets the standard for the workplace in the future and we would ask everyone for their full support to maintain this. Each pupil should also return to school with the correct equipment which includes:-  Planner  Reading book  Pencil case with 2 black or blue pens, 2 pencils, a ruler, rubber, pencil sharpener, colouring pencils and a scientific calculator We have a very reasonably priced shop that is run from the library every breaktime, prices shown overleaf.
