The examinations include the screening test for admission into Junior Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in the state. Sale of examination forms would commence on 13th January and close th on 4 April, 2014. Registration for 2014 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) for Junior Secondary Schools nd commenced on 2 December, 2013 and will close on 14th March, 2014. Sale of forms for 2014 Public Service Examination for Combine Confirmation/Promotion Examination for Clerical Officer/Assistants; Compulsory E x a m i n a t i o n f o r Administrative/Executive Officers; External Secretarial Assistants and Secretarial Officers; Trade Test for various categories of self employed artisans, trainees/students of Technical Vocational Colleges and those in the public service. In order to sit for the identified examinations, payment should be made to any of the designated banks while treasury receipts should be submitted to the Lagos State Examinations Board, Iyana Ipaja. The codes apply to all the designated banks. Parents, guardians, head teachers, proprietors and proprietresses of approved private Junior Secondary Schools and public servants in the state are to ascertain the correct amount to be paid for each examination at the board's office at Iyana Ipaja. TANDOH TASKS TECHNICAL DIRECTORS OF SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS - Bashiru Agunloye he Director of Sports, Lagos State, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, has tasked Technical Directors of the 36 Sports Associations under the supervision of Lagos State Sports Council, to be more proactive in the discharge of their responsibilities, as the state will host and participate in numerous sporting events this year. According to the Director who held a meeting with the 36 Sports Associations at the Rowe Park Sports Complex, Yaba, the state will organize the Ibile games in April, host the South West Games in May and quarterly grassroots sports competitions from March to October. Furthermore, the state will participate in the national school sports competition, national youth games and national sports festival among others. Tandoh urged the Technical Directors and Coaches to work harder this year for the success of the state in all sporting competitions." With the investment of Governor Babatunde Fashola in grassroots sports development and the support of the Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Waid Enitan Oshodi, we cannot afford to fail". He singled out selected Technical Directors of Sports Associations including those of the Lagos State Football Association, Lagos State Volleyball Association and Lagos State Athletics Association, for sporting programmes initiated and called on others to emulate them for proper grassroots sports development in the state.
