Akash the youngest of the three followed them, enjoying the pleasant morning as he jumped across the puddles formed due to early morning showers. They had hardly walked a few steps when Akash saw a beautiful butterfly sucking nectar from flowers across the compound wall. Tempted to catch the butterfly, he stretched himself over the wall but before he could grab it in his outstretched hands, the butterfly flew away. Trying his best to catch it, he lunged forward but slipped on to the wet pavement, getting injured and dirtying his fresh new uniform. Feeling pain and shock, he immediately began crying at the top of his voice. Nikhil and Suruchi immediately turned around and ran towards him. We shall be late on the first day itself. Now let's get moving. We shall arrange for first aid in school.” Realizing that she had to take charge, Suruchi pushed Nikhil aside and tied her kerchief over the wound on Akash's knee. Then holding his hand she gently blew away dirt from his bruised elbow. Trying to pacify Akash she asked him, “But how did you fall down?” Amidst sobs Akash replied, “I was trying to catch a butterfly. But before I could lay my hands on it, it flew away and as I tried to lunge forward I slipped.” “Oh, so you too like butterflies?” Suruchi continued trying to draw his attention away from the pain.
