Graduations, protests, lectures and concerts were held here until it deteriorated beyond safe use. Rehabilitation of the historic space into an accessible, state-of-the-art venue was completed in 2017 and seamlessly maintains the original design intent. JURY’S COMMENTS “The fact that the work is nearly invisible is a real accomplishment. The restraint is the achievement, in context with the challenges associated with accomplishing an accessibility retrofit. The project maintains the original character and the informal feel of the campus through minimal disruption and restraint of intervention, which allows the events to remain in the spotlight.” • 34 comstocksmag.com | 2017 2019 SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL SUPPLEMENT
