THE ASIA-PACIFIC
CHALLENGE
MBA Case Competition
Asia-Pacific is one of the fastest growing economic regions, growth brings prosperity but also
complex business challenges. This is the inspiration behind the first edition of “THE ASIA-PACIFIC
CHALLENGE - MBA Case Competition” hosted at Sydney’s AGSM. The dates are December 5-8
2016, during the Australian summer.
Asia-Pacific is in the middle of a rapidly changing business landscape. Leaders anticipate that current
business models will need to change substantially to succeed. MBA graduates from the region’s best
schools will be drivers of this change. This is in-line with the theme of the inaugural competition,
“Engagement in Asia”. Cases will be real business problems currently faced by organisations seeking
to enter or expand into Asian markets.
The competition will bring together, top talent from business schools in the Asia-Pacific region. MBA
students will be tasked to address business problems and present their solutions to a panel of
judges, including representatives from industries and academia.
For an MBA student in a top business program, this is a great opportunity to apply skills with vision
and leadership, meet other MBA colleagues and network with business leaders.
Located in Sydney, the financial capital of Australia and gateway to Asia, AGSM is at a perfect
vantage point to initiate this first of its kind MBA case competition.
