DAY 1 Fly to Johannesburg
DAY 2 Johannesburg On arrival transfer by shuttle service to your hotel.
DAY 3 Johannesburg / Hazyview
Morning departure along the circular Panorama route, visiting the viewing points of Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa; gasp at the glory of God’ s Window with a boundless view of mountains and fertile plains; and finally visit Bourke’ s Luck Potholes before heading to Hazyview.
DAY 4 Kruger National Park
Start bright and early for game viewing. Hopefully, you will spot lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard along with all the wonderful flora and bird life that abounds. Should you wish to take a safari by open-vehicle, this is available at extra expense. Afternoon at leisure.
DAY 5 Hazyview / eSwatini( Swaziland)
Drive to the tiny independent Kingdom of eSwatini( formerly Swaziland). An interactive cultural experience introduces you to the charming people and their traditions.
DAY 6 eSwatini( Swaziland)/ Hluhluwe
Journey through eSwatini into Zululand and meet artisans at both the Ngwenya Glass and The Swazi Candles Centre. Continue into the Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal where ancient traditions and modern cultures of both Zulu and settler have combined into a vibrant society living in peace and harmony. Arrive Hluhluwe late afternoon.
DAY 7 Hluhluwe / Durban
This morning you can take an optional open vehicle game drive in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve( at extra expense). Later, depart for Durban and on arrival there’ s an orientation tour of this exciting seaside city, which ends with a visit to the Durban Botanic Gardens.
DAY 8 Durban / Drakensberg
Morning departure for the majestic southern Drakensberg Mountains. Enroute, visit 300 feet high Howick Falls before continuing through the Southern Midlands Meander Route. On arrival you’ re free to absorb the stunning scenery and fresh mountain air.
DAY 9 Drakensberg
At leisure. Alternatively, join an optional 4x4 adventure tour up the Sani Pass and into Lesotho( at extra expense).
DAY 10 Drakensberg / Eastern Cape Coast
Head south to the Eastern Cape and en route see the traditional way of life in the homeland area known as the Transkei. Continue via Nelson Mandela’ s birthplace and house, arriving late afternoon in Chintsa East, on the unspoilt Eastern Cape Coast.
DAY 11 Eastern Cape Coast / Tsitsikamma
Awake to the sounds of crashing waves before driving on to Tsitsikamma.
DAY 12 Tsitsikamma / Knysna
Visit the spectacularly beautiful Tsitsikamma Forest, and after a short walk to the Storms River Mouth absorb magnificent views of the gorge and river below. Travel on to Knysna, known as South Africa’ s oyster box.
DAY 13 Knysna / Oudtshoorn
Travel inland over the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn where you visit a working ostrich farm before travelling on to the famous Cango Caves for a walk around its magnificent stalctites and stalagmites.
DAY 14 Oudtshoorn / Cape Town
Journey along the renowned Route 62 and through the Little Karoo as you head for Cape Town. On the way, stop to sample top quality port-style wines in Calitzdorp, before continuing via Worcester and through the Huguenot Tunnel to Cape Town.
DAY 15 Cape Town
At leisure. Stroll the V & A Waterfront or perhaps hop on the cable car for a ride to the summit of Table Mountain. Alternatively, join a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula to witness its dramatic coastline and scenic beauty( at extra expense).
DAY 16 Cape Town
Your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
