South Africa
Premier Recommends
Savouring the scenery: Cape Town’ s endless scenic locations include Chapmans Peak Drive, dramatic Cape Point and the white sands of Clifton and Camps Bay. We love Bloubergstrand Beach for the postcard-views of Table Mountain.
Taking a Winelands safari: On board the Franschhoek wine tram. A truly unique( and fun!) way to explore multiple wine estates with beautiful views and of course delectable wine tastings.
Driving the Garden Route: This ocean hugging highway delivers diverse landscapes, wildlife, and soft adventure aplenty. We recommend soaking up the views from behind the wheel of your own car for the most spectacular of road trips.
Going on a game drive: An open vehicle safari is the ultimate must do. Whilst the Greater Kruger sightings are world-class, we do also recommend the Eastern Cape, Madikwe and The Waterberg.
Relaxing by the sea: For the perfect chance to unwind at the end of a South African adventure. Our favourites include the village vibes in laidback Umhlanga or Cape St Francis for a tranquil escape on pristine, unspoiled beaches.
Getting there: Non-stop flights from the UK to Cape Town take around 12 hours or, approximately 11 hours to Johannesburg.

Self-drive options also give you fl exibility to tour as you wish.
City stays: Captivating Cape Town beckons with sights to see and experiences to uncover. We offer an extensive range of hotels to suit all tastes and budges. See pages 18-21.
Wildlife: One of the world’ s top spots for watching wildlife, South Africa’ s impressive national parks are home to the Big Five and so much more.
Mix & Match: A stay in South Africa works well with time at Victoria Falls or in neighbouring countries like Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique- we’ ve highlighted how you can extend from KwaZulu Natal and Kruger.
