The Gearhouse Group has
added a conference and
event solution company
to its stable – Gearhouse ICS, now the
10th company in the group. Managing
director of INHOUSE Venue Technical
Management (IVTM IT), Ashraf Omar, says he
saw an opportunity within the information
technology rental fields and contacted
Thabiet Waggie, Global ICS managing
director.

takes care of hardware rentals and Global
ICS has developed a number of applications,
including a registration system and a
presentation management system for
conferences. Thabiet says the applications
were developed specifically for the South
African market. “We have our own team of
developers who look after our product.”
The new company, which opened its doors on
1 March, provides IT hardware, software, and
project management services. Their newly
developed products include; EventsCentral ,
the online and onsite delegate management
and registration system and MediaVue, the
online and onsite presentation and content
management system.
BAM LAUNCHED
Bam, a brand activation and experiential marketing
agency has been launched in partnership with
ADreach.
“We harness the power of various mediums to
engage consumers with your brand. It’s the touch taste hear smell and feel side
of marketing,” says ADreach National Sales Manager Mark Castel. “Our job is to
connect your brand with the hearts and minds of consumers.” He says that while
online technology has been expanding into the marketing strategy, the way
emerging technologies can be integrated with existing techniques to make a
difference in clients’ sales strategies need to be considered.
Bam’s services include brand activation strategy and implementation, event
design and management, field services and promotions, staff events, road shows,
exhibitions, digital integration, multimedia campaigns, flash mobs and market
research.

Popcorn Cinema Advertising
launched of its revamped
website early in April.
The website gives essential
information when considering planning a cinema
ad campaign. It provides details on all functions
and resources of the Popcorn advertising business.
It includes traditional cinema advertising – on
screen and in foyer, as well as events and event
design.
