Group Fitness Classes( Ages 14 +)

Ashtanga Yoga: Linking breath with movement in a modified practice of the primary series.
Flow Yoga: Linking breath and movement in an active yoga practice.
Gentle Yoga: Perfect for beginners or those who want yoga at a slower pace.
Hatha Yoga II: A yoga class that involves balancing, standing and seated postures leading to a deeper experience in your practice. * We encourage you to bring your own mat for yoga classes *
Cycle: All-terrain rides for enthusiasts of all levels; one-hour class. 90 min Cycle: 1 ½ hour cycle class
Cycle Fusion: 75 min. class( 60 min cycling and 15 min Abs +)
Intro to Cycle: This 45 min class is for anyone who is new to spinning, or has been intimidated to jump into a cycle class. We will spend time learning to set up the bikes and going over settings and cycling positions. Warm up stretching and cool down will be done OFF the bike.
Intermediate Step( Int. Step): Choreography is more complex with optional power moves, abs and back included.
Step Interval( SInt): Intermediate step with 5 minute intervals cycled with 2 minutes of MC. Abs and back included.
Bootcamp: Inside / outside class with strength / cardio intervals and drills with some running( high intensity class).
$ BodyPump $: is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60- minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.
$ Cardiopump $: Modified bootcamp class. Class will go outside, cycle and may go in the pool. Be prepared for running, push-ups, squats, etc. Free for fitness center members. Please look online or in our seasonal magazine for more class details.
$ BodyCombat $: This fiercely energetic cardio workout uses martial arts from disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi, and muay thai. This 60-min workout is supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors that will teach you to punch and kick your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Muscle Conditioning( MC): Using bands, bars and weights to provide a complete musclestrengthening work-out.
Barre Pilates: Barre classes integrate the fat-burning format of interval training with muscle-shaping isometrics to quickly and safely reshape the entire body. This nonimpact, one-hour workout uses both the ballet barre and the mat, and targets all major muscle groups. The result is the recognizable Barre body, featuring sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat, and elongated thighs. This workout also requires mental focus as muscles are strengthened and then stretched to create a longer, leaner physique.
Fit and Fabulous: Low impact class with MC followed by a 15-minute stretch.
Yoga-Pilates Fusion: A 60 min mixture of Yoga and Pilates.
Zumba: A style of intense dance-aerobics workout with pulsating Latin music.

Israeli Folk Dance – Beginners
Instructor: Ellen Bernstein This class continues to be one of the most popular classes at the Weinstein JCC. In a warm and inviting atmosphere, learn the steps involved with Israeli dancing, both traditional and modern. Code: 14437 Mondays, 7:30 – 10:00 p. m. Israeli Folk Dance – Advanced
Instructor: Page Luxmoore For those who love to dance and have some knowledge of Israeli Folk Dance, this class provides the opportunity to“ just dance” and to learn new dances as well. Code: 14439 Thursdays, 7:30 – 10:00 p. m. October 3- December 12( 10 weeks)( No class November 28) $ 35 M / $ 60 NM Code: 14440 Full year: $ 120 M / $ 150 NM

SCHOOL OF DANCE

The adult dance program offered through the Weinstein JCC School of Dance is continuous with no breaks. 10-class punch cards are available for $ 115 M / $ 135 NM. Drop-ins are welcome at $ 15 per class( M / NM). NO REFUNDS.
Adult Intermediate Ballet
Ages: 18 + This is a ballet class for the experienced dancer on the intermediate level. Alternating Instructors: Kristen Gallagher Flato, Patty Mochary, and Katherine Douglas Smothers Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9:30- 11:00 a. m. and Wednesdays 10:15 – 11:45 a. m.
