Animals need space to move and to find food.
Some animals can live close to each other. Others
must live far apart. If animals become too crowded,
problems can develop. Too many animals can
make food run out. Diseases also spread easily
from one animal to another when animals are
crowded together. A good habitat is one that has
good food, shelter and water with enough space to
prevent overcrowding.
