Science/Environment MIGRATION Migration is the term for animals moving to a different place with a change in the season. The Swainson's hawk flies over 14,000 miles round trip between Colorado and Argentina. The Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep live high in the mountains during the warmer summer months and migrate to the lower mountain areas in the winter. Look at the map and locate Colorado.
